Movie Storyline

Plot After leading a successful rescue operation of hostages in  Mombasa , U.S. Marine Ray Garrison and his wife Gina travel for a holiday at an Italian beachside town in the  Amalfi Coast . They are kidnapped by a group of mercenaries led by Martin Axe, who demands to know how the US military learned about the hostages and their location. Ray explains he is not privy to this information and threatens revenge. Axe kills him and Gina. An amnesiac Ray awakens in the labs of Rising Spirit Tech (RST), a company in  Kuala Lumpur  specializing in cybernetic enhancements for disabled US military personnel. CEO and lead scientist Dr. Emil Harting tells Ray he is the first successful human subject of the "Bloodshot" program, resurrecting and healing him through the injection of experimental  nanite technology  now occupying his entire bloodstream. This technology increases his strength and heals his injuries, but the nanites need to be regularly replaced and recharg...

Plot In the year 484 AD,  King Arthur  and his  knights  fight a losing battle against the  Saxons . Elsewhere,  Merlin  approaches the Knights of Iacon, a group of Transformers hiding on  Earth , to help win the war. They hand him an alien staff, before transforming together into Dragonstorm and turn the tide of the battle, but warn Merlin that a great evil will come for the staff. In the present, five years after the Hong Kong uprising, [N 1]   Optimus  finally arrives on a heavily damaged Cybertron, and meets his alleged creator  Quintessa . She, who  originally sent Lockdown to bring him to her , blames Optimus for Cybertron's destruction and brainwashes him, renaming him Nemesis Prime. After which, she orders him to travel to Earth to help her get Merlin's staff, which can absorb Earth's energy to restore Cybertron. Earth is revealed to be  Unicron , the ancient enemy of  Cybertron , and whose horns are emerging ...

Plot Sixty-five million years ago, an alien race known as the "Creators" used devices called Seeds to cover  Earth  with an alloy that will one day be called "Transformium",  wiping out the dinosaurs in the process . In the present day,  geologist  Darcy Tirrel excavates the Transformium for K.S.I. Industries, who use it to build Transformers drones. Five years after the Battle of Chicago  [N 1] , the people have started to view the Transformers as public enemies. Though the public believes that the  Autobots  were granted sanctuary, they are in fact hunted down by a rogue  CIA   black ops  division, Cemetery Wind, led by opportunistic, corrupt intelligence operative Harold Attinger, who believes that all Transformers should be exterminated regardless of their faction. They are aided by  Lockdown , a Cybertronian  bounty hunter  working for the Creators, promising to give Attinger a Seed if his division manages to cap...

Plot In 1961, the  Ark , a Cybertronian spacecraft carrying an invention capable of ending the war between the benevolent  Autobots  and the malevolent  Decepticons , crash lands on the  dark side of Earth's Moon . The crash is detected on Earth by  NASA , and President  John F. Kennedy  authorizes a mission to put a man on the  Moon  as a cover for investigating the spacecraft. In 1969, the crew of  Apollo 11  lands on the Moon and secretly inspect the Ark before heading home. President  Richard Nixon  orders them to keep the details of this mission secret. In the present day, three years after the Battle of Egypt  [N 1] , the Autobots assist the United States military in preventing major conflicts around the globe. Plot In the year 17,000 B.C., the original Transformers leaders, the Seven Primes, travel across the universe to create Energon with star-absorbing machines called Sun Harvesters, which destroy stars in order to collect their raw material. One of them defies the rule to never destroy a planet with life on it by establishing a Sun Harvester on  Earth , earning him the name " The Fallen ". The Fallen is confronted by the other Primes, who imprison him before he can harvest the Sun using the  Matrix of Leadership . The rest of the Primes then sacrifice themselves to hide the Matrix in an unknown location. Plot Several thousand years ago, the planet Cybertron was consumed by a  civil war  between the two  Transformer  factions, the  Autobots  led by  Optimus Prime  and the  Decepticons  led by  Megatron . Optimus jettisoned the Allspark, a mystical artifact that brings life to the planet and non-biological forms, into space, but Megatron pursued it. Megatron crashed onto  Earth , landing in the  Arctic Circle  and froze, and was discovered in 1895 by explorer Captain Archibald Witwicky. Witwicky inadvertently activated Megatron's navigational system, which etched the Allspark's coordinates into his glasses. The glasses eventually end up in the possession of his great-great-grandson  Sam . In the present, a Decepticon named Blackout attacks and destroys a United States military base in  Qatar  in a failed attempt to hack the military network to find information on Megatron and the AllSpark. Plot On the planet Cybertron, the  Autobot  resistance, led by  Optimus Prime , is on the verge of losing the civil war against the  Decepticons , and prepares to evacuate the planet. A Decepticon force, led by  Starscream ,  Soundwave , and Shockwave, intercepts them during the evacuation, and Optimus sends Autobot scout  B-127  to  Earth  in an  escape pod , in order to set up a base of operations where the Autobots can regroup. B-127 reaches Earth and crash-lands in  California , disrupting a  training exercise  by Sector 7, a secret government agency that monitors extraterrestrial activity on Earth. Colonel Jack Burns presumes B-127 to be a hostile invader and orders his men to attack. B-127 scans a  Willys MB jeep  and flees to a mine, where he is ambushed by Decepticon Seeker  Blitzwing . Plot Walter Mitty is a  negative assets  manager at  Life  magazine  who daydreams of adventures and has a crush on a coworker named Cheryl Melhoff. Walter attempts to contact Cheryl via  eHarmony  but Todd Maher, an eHarmony representative explains his account lacks enough information to do so. Mitty works with legendary photojournalist Sean O'Connell, although they have never met in person. O'Connell has sent Mitty his latest negatives and a wallet as a gift in appreciation of Mitty's work. O'Connell believes negative #25 captures the "quintessence of  Life "  and that it should be used for the cover of the  magazine's final print issue  as it converts to online status. The negative is missing, forcing Walter to stall for time with corporate transition manager Ted Hendricks, who is handling the downsizing. Plot Three years after the capture of anarchist Solomon Lane, the remnants of his organization of rogue covert operatives, the Syndicate, continue to wreak havoc around the globe and have reorganized as a terrorist group known as the Apostles. They are allied with a mysterious extremist known as John Lark, who wrote a manifesto calling for the destruction of the current world order. At a safe house in Belfast,  IMF  agent  Ethan Hunt  is assigned to buy three stolen  plutonium cores  in  Berlin  from Eastern European gangsters, before the Apostles can. Plot After intercepting  nerve gas  being sold to  Chechen terrorists  in  Minsk ,  IMF  agent  Ethan Hunt  is determined to prove the existence of the Syndicate, a criminal consortium the  CIA  does not believe exists. As  CIA Director  Alan Hunley successfully convinces a  Senate committee  to disband and absorb the IMF, currently without a secretary in charge, into the CIA for its  destructive methods and other misconduct , Hunt is captured by the Syndicate at a  record shop  in  London , while their leader, a blond man in glasses, kills the female IMF agent stationed there. Hunt escapes a torture chamber led by Syndicate member Janik "Bone Doctor" Vinter with the help of disavowed  MI6  agent and now Syndicate operative Ilsa Faust.
